The Tampa Jazz Club Scholarship Fund

The Tampa Jazz Club was incorporated as a not-for-profit organization in 1995, with the primary objective of generating interest in preserving, understanding and performing jazz music.  In line with its other objectives including encouraging the creation and active performance of jazz music and organizing jazz concerts, the club has eight or more concerts a year at the Gorilla Theatre in Drew Park.  The Tampa Jazz Club awarded their first scholarship to a Hillsborough County high school graduate in 2003.  Partnering with the Unsinkable Molly Brown Foundation the following year, the club has awarded another four scholarships to-date.  All of the recipients will be majoring in jazz performance or jazz education, and so will help to continue the tradition of this great American art form.  The Tampa Jazz Club is proud to announce the following 2007 Hillsborough County Public School graduates have been awarded a scholarship to further their study of jazz music:

  • Hosea Daniels III
